A funny trip of Portuguese

We are the Acosta family from Lisbon, Portugal, we will travel me and my wife , my father and mother in law, and my two children´s of 9 and 11 years old. We want go to visit Spain and is the first time we will travel all family together and we think can be very funny, because we don´t know speak Spanish, we know is similar to Portuguese but is not the same, so we are trying to speak Spanish in the airport doing the checking.

Visit´s in Spain

In Spain, we want visit Madrid and if we have some time less we will like to go to Sevilla, we know that in Spain they have some really nice tapas and good wine , but my mother in law don´t like the wine so she can drink beer , but she get really funny when she drinks because she start to dance and speak very funny. We will arrive in Madrid at 18 pm , and we will stay in the center in Gran Vía street, we have organised some touristic visits in the center; Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real and Museo del Jamon for drink and eat some tapas and " mucho jamon "

Salida a España

After we do the checking board and we have ours boarding cards, we go to the security control , and we start to speak spanish, my two children they speak more because they hace lessons in the school, so they start saying " buenos días " to the security man and they guess we will fly to spain, but they don´t know to answer in spanish , so they answer in Portuguese with " bom dia " and my mother in law reply to them with " como está señor " and we start laughing in the security , my wife was very embarrassing but she laugh too. We passed the control and we went to the gate A28 for get on the plane for the departure at 16:45 pm.

Arrived in Madrid

We arrived at time 18:00 pm in Barajas airport in Madrid, and after take luggage we went to take the taxi , my mother in law keep speaking spanish with my two children´s , and they said " Ola " to every body the pass in the airport , my father in law , don´t try to speak but he was happy to see all them trying to say word in spanish. We arrived to the taxi, and we meet Pepe , the driver of a big taxi we rent for the family , Pepe was very funny and said to us " Hola familia , como están , bienvenidos a Madrid , vamos a la gran vía " and i answer to him " muchas gracias señor , vamos " my children`s was laughing and laughing and they don´t said nothing .

Visits in Madrid

We arrived in the hotel, we left our luggages and we went out to enjoy Madrid , we do the visits around the center, and after we went to " Museo del Jamón " , we start drinking some wine and beer , and after one hour we was talking in Spanish with the people we have around us , we enjoy the food of Spain, we have some tapas and very good " jamón " we really enjoyed Madrid , walking in the streets and visiting really nice places in Madrid center, but the most was Museo del Jamón, after been in Madrid for two days we fly to Sevilla, because my wife and my mother in law want learn the " sevillanas dance " and i really want see them dancing in Sevilla.

Sevilla and OLÉ

Finally we arrived in Sevilla, we was all exciting for the end of our holidays to see my wife and mother in law dancing Sevillanas. We arrive and after take the hotel we went to a " tablao flamenco " , typical of Sevilla, was a surprise for my family but i reserved a teacher of Sevillanas for learn to dance . After we have some food and drinks . the teacher of dance , Mr. Montoya approached the table and said, " vamos a bailar familia y olé " my mother in law was the first to stand up and start dancing , and after her was my wife , decided to learn the dance , we was really happy and laughing we watch them how the dance with mr Montoya , after been for some time looking at them we all stand up and we was dancing in the tablao for hours, laughing , drinking and eating spanish food , at mid-night we left the tablao and went the hotel talking in spanish and dancing all around , really nice time in Sevilla with family , lots of pictures of our holidays and really nice memories of Madrid and Sevilla.

We know we will come back as soon we can, and maybe one day we will move to live in Sevilla, we love it and we recommend to every portuguese to visit Sevilla y olé !!!!!
