A trait that has to do with feeling positive about yourself and your ability to succeed. Confident leaders are self-assured and believe they can accomplish their goals, no matter how big or small. They believe in doing the right thing while feeling a sense of certainty and don't second-guess their decisions.

POTENTIAL REACTIONS: Subordinates will exude more confidence, work harder and smarter, better decision making, no longer second-guessing.

The BENEFIT of this trait is that it's one that's contagious- when employees see a leader who is confident, they'll try to mimic that behavior because being confident leads to so many other positive things.
The CHALLENGE of this trait is that an employee can confuse the confidence of a leader and think they're being stuck up. While being confidence is a positive trait, you also want to be humble and still have a willingness to learn and teach others.

INTEGRITY

Demands being open with others and representing reality as fully and completely as possible. Leaders with integrity inspire confidence in others because they can be trusted to do what they say they are going to do. They're loyal, dependable, and transparent- they're believable and worthy of trust.

POTENTIAL REACTIONS: Subordinates will be more open and communicative, they'll be inspired to work harder, critically think and work with passion.

The BENEFIT of this trait is that it's one that creates trust between others and as a leader, you need that. It sets you apart from others and allows you to make better decisions; this trait is also one that shows you have good morals, ethics and values.
The CHALLENGE of this trait is that it's one that a lot of younger people don't exude. Integrity isn't something that can be taught, in my opinion, it's something that's strengthen and worked on over your lifetime. Integrity also has to deal with accountability and often times, people can have a hard time holding themselves or others accountable for their actions and behaviors in the workplace.
