Opinions are often polarised and are seen as opposites for which there is no compromise.
There are strong emotions that sometimes are inherited through generations, there is hurt and there is upset and there is frustration.
This could be seen in clown terms as there is usually a Major and a Minor.

How important is connection in protest?

Can you change beliefs without connection?
Just saying "you are bad" in a clownish way is not really effective in creating change.
Holding up a mirror to people does not really work when there's something they have no desire to change.
How can we build a bridge to connection with an "opposing" view?
Connection seems key to become successful at protest but connection with who?
Detached acceptance of a situation or of words spoken to the clown can result in play and connection, e.g. pretending to be really angry, pretending to be really hurt, or taking some of the words and playing with them

Do they notice if anyone is listening? If no-one is listening how can that be used in playful protest?
