1. The VM is running on Server A.

2. Its memory, CPU state, and other data are gradually copied to Server B.

3. Once almost everything is copied, the VM pauses for a tiny moment (usually milliseconds).

4. The remaining data is transferred, and the VM continues running on Server B as if nothing happened.
