เป็นเทศกาลสำคัญประจำปีของชาวมอญ จะมีการทำบุญเฉลิมฉลองกันอย่างมโหฬารในทุกหมู่บ้านของชุมชนคนมอญ เทศกาลนี้ใช้ระยะเวลาหลายวัน โดยจะเริ่มตั้งแต่วันที่ 13 เมษายน ไปจนถึงต้นเดือนพฤษภาคมของทุกๆ ปี
 เมื่อถึงเทศกาลสงกรานต์ชาวมอญ จะทำข้าวแช่ในงานสงกรานต์ซึ่งปกติจัดขึ้นตั้งแต่ตี 4 ของวันที่ 13 เมษายน ชาวบ้านที่อยู่อาศัยในหมู่บ้านและพวกที่กลับมาเยี่ยมบ้านในวันสงกรานต์ จะตื่นขึ้นมาทำข้าวแช่เพื่อนำไปไหว้นางสงกรานต์ ทำบุญที่วัด และไว้รับประทานเอง
