2. I am working toward a single-subject credential in Social Studies. 

3. I currently teach 7th grade English at Beardsley Junior High on a PIP, and this is my fourth year teaching. This is actually my last week teaching English. Next week, I will be switching over to teach 8th Grade U.S. History at Beardsley. 

4. My immediate family were all born here in the United States. Our heritage is Irish, and my great-grandma moved here in 1944.

I think that Marvel has done a really great job with their movies and they never disappoint. I think they are especially skilled in getting viewers to empathize with the antagonist in a way that other movies do not. Even though viewers may not agree with what the antagonist is doing, they see where the villain is coming from and are often challenged in their own worldviews. I want to be able to provide my kids with a great childhood and a lot of opportunity. I also want to serve as a role model for them so that they know what hard work looks like. Whenever I tell people the grade I teach they feel bad for me because it's such a "hard age," but there is so much to love about teaching junior high. Teaching can be challenging, but it pays off to watch the kids build their skills, find their strengths, and realize their potential.
