The experiences I share with some of these characters is how they moved around a lot . My family is familiar because when I was growing up we would move around Vista. But something that was a little bit different was that I was still given things as a kid that Jeanette didn't have . What I learned about Jeanette was how she was bullied and beat by a group of people when she moved to this new town.

The social class shoes us in the pages we read that they were in the lower class. they talk about where they lived and the places they had to move to because they couldn't afford it. It also showed us in the beginning how Jeanette was talking about how she enjoyed being in the hospital because they gave her things she didn't have at home. she was happy about have a TV in her room and having 3 meals a day. How she has never tired bubble gum that the nurses bought her to keep her happy.

(3).a significant event that happens is when she cooks and burn the hot dogs and she burned her self because it showed how she lives and how her parents are from not believing in doctors and how she liked being in the hospital for 3 days because she got to have what she wanted like 3 meals a day and having TV.

(9) the gaps I would like the author to fill out is when Jeanette fell out the car. because I don't get how she was able to fall out and both parents weren't able to notice when it happens. was there any sound, did she go out the window or did the door go flying?

(5) the author uses the Joshua tree a beet down tree from the heavy winds as a symbol how the things they went through but also good things that happens to them.

A social issue that was in this chunk we read was social class. When the police came after Jeanette was shooting a gun at billy. Her mom and dad made the decision to leave town to avoid any charges they couldn't afford or deal with anything. If they were wealthy they wouldn't have worried about anything because they would have had a lawyer.

(6) the attended audience for this chunk we read is the people in the lower class. Or the people that relate to her story on her life. It can also be people that enjoy a story about someone life. I am similar to the audience because I like to read about someones life and what they went through growing up.

(1) the meaning of the text changes from going to talking about how they lived and what happens to her. To finding things out about her dad and he is doing that he is not all what they thought.

A quote that stood out in this chunk is "well kids, welcome to ninety-three little Hobart street! mo said " home sweet home" some context of this quote sit they go house shopping and they choose to live in a house where they pay 50 a month and can own it in 2 years but it doesn't have a bathroom and no indoor plumbing and no electricity this quote stood out to me because even tho it is really run down and dosent have what a home should have they are okay with it and treat it as if it were better

A social issuee represented in this chunk was still social class.Jeanette had to go back to not eating because they had no money. Another example is that they had to move in with rex's mom because they didn't have a place to live. Near the end of this chunk they buy a house even tho they could've gotten a little better with 20$ more but they couldn't afford it.

during this time in the book they were struggling with money ever since her mom left. And Jeanette was in deal with all the bills and Rex was asking her for money for cigarettes and beer and sh would give it to him because he knew she cared about him.
