This brilliant amazing handsome philosopher believes that personality is shaped entirely by our environment. Me and my brother share a lot of physical traits, yet not a lot of personality traits. We grew up in the same household and are only 1 year apart, yet we aren't too alike. I share more personality traits with my friends than with him. I believe this is due to the unique experiences that differed from his. These experiences were shaped by the friends I hanged out with, the YouTube videos I watched, the mass I go to that he never does, so and so forth. Genetics don't play a big role. (please don't quote me, I am not a psychologist Ms. Clark)

Personality is shaped by not only the environment but also by our genes. Sex has a huge role in our personality. In fact, sex is what drives our id (pleasure principle). However, our environment has an equal role. It determines our childhood experiences, which are later kept as memories in our unconscious mind. I heavily emphasize that the unconscious determines our id and superego. Our id, superego, and ego determine our personality.

I agree with Freud: personality is both affected by our genes and our environment. Our childhood is very important. Our need to feel superior to everyone else since our youth drives our behavior (and our personality). I think that our biology is more important though. The order you were born determines more of your personality than anything else. For example, if you were the oldest child, you have a more competitive personality due to your need to win back your parents' attention from your younger siblings.

I believe that personality is shaped by our biology. Our five personality traits—extraversion, agreeableness, openness, conscientiousness, and neuroticism—are genetic. Identical twins have a higher correlation personality scores than fraternal twins. Even though identical and fraternal twins can have the same experiences (environment), identical twins share more personality traits. Our personality is due to our genes.
