I feel shocked that the killer wasn't Philip Lombard. At first, I thought his character would be too obvious to be the killer, as he was honest about his apathy from day one. Over time, however, he seemed increasingly suspicious, like when he "misplaced" the revolver. He and Vera seemed so close, too!

The only thing that did astonish me was how smart Vera was when she got Lombard's gun.
