The book is about a group of kids that have to fight for their lives in order to survive the war that is about to happen between the Roses.

Cause and Effect (The Sneak)

Lord D’Orsay is trying to get some girl named Leesh to exterminate a boy named Jason. Jason tried to intrude lord D’Orsay’s castle but got caught by his son. When the army found out this they tried to capture him but he got away and hid in the mountain. An earthquake had appeared out of nowhere and a crack in the mountain had opened up. Jason had taken shelter in there for awhile because a poisonous gas was heading towards him. 

While Jason was in the mountain he found some doors he followed the doors to a room and in that room were gems, old pottery and a sword leaned up against the wall. Jason was examining all the items he first looked at all the gems. He went over to look at the sword and then the mountain started to close up he shoved all he could into his backpack and the grabbed the sword and left.   

Compare and Contrast (Jason)

Jason Henley is a very sneaky person so that he can get around unnoticed in a very populated hostile area. His most acquired skill is moving swiftly he is a really good climber and runner. Jason is really strong but can get taken down fairly easy. Jason does not use his magic that much so he often gets into traps. Those are his strengths.

Jason’s weaknesses are that he can get stuck in giant spider webs and have to cut himself out. When he is climbing he gets tired really fast and has to take breaks. While he is running he runs out of breath and has to hide. He also cannot stand pungent fumes or else he will pass out. So some of these traits help him in certain areas.

Problem and Solution

Jason is facing a big problem with him and his friends a girl has appeared and had been banished already and was told to leave. Jason let her stay but his friends will not talk to him. He tries to figure out why but he does not know how to.  

Jason may be able to ask his friends why they will not talk to him. He could possibly ask the girl why she got banned, or he can wait and see what happens.
