I would then wrap the area in a bandage that is not too tight or loose. Calming the patient down I would also call an ambulance or organize a ride to the hospital. - Speak calmly, clean the wound and apply pressure, move knife away from the customer to somewhere safe, distract the customer from the cut (EG. ask them to talk about kids, family, pets), call 111 in order to get professional help.

Followed by an assessment of the situation, incident report, how to prevent it happening in the future etc.

2) Any area that is normally a staff only area is of high risk to the customers. However most places have some sort of risk involved.

3) Any sort of sharp, hot or toxic object/substance can threaten the safety of the customers.

4) The customers, and your co-workers.

5) Any incident can threaten customers.
