I dabbled with Google Classroom last spring and am excited to start from day 1 this year with Classroom being used for all journaling, writing assignments, and multiple choice quizzes.  That is my current comfort level.  Hoping to add more layers as I learn more.  I'm sure my students will teach me!

Comfort with Tools ~ Using the Google Chrome laptops on an almost-weekly basis for typing practice, story reading and non-graded quizzes AND doing free writes in their journals 2-4 times each week seemed to help my 3rd graders be more comfortable with writing and using a keyboard.  When it came time to do writing assessment using a computer, the students were proficient and able to complete the writing prompts.
