PR 1- “My Physics Teacher” by David Wagoner

The poem is a funny one. The poem goes over the many ways a teacher
failed in a year. “On a formula, stooped to catch it, knocked his forehead on the eraser gutter, staggered slewfoot, and stuck one foot forever in the waste basket” (Wagoner). This poem is supposed to make us laugh at the expense of another. This is the only poem I liked.

He won’t give up due to the fish being his first in months. The passage also shows that the old man is not in the physical form to do this. It shows how weak he is.
