I have volunteered to help set up a spring benefit event at a YMCA for another one of my classes. This experience will be helpful because it taught me what is expected when volunteering in this type of environment. I think that volunteering makes a person feel good about themselves and gives you a sense of accomplishment. It is also good to be exposed to people who may have different challenges than you and exposure to different people and to different stories builds wisdom and  helps to expand a persons perspective.
