After numerous attempts, I found one that resonated with me. 

I then built around this design, trying everything I could to make it unique. Eventually I found that the design slightly resembled an eyeball, and as a very young child, I had imaginary people called eyeball friends. This triggered a sense of nostalgia (one of my main 4 keywords) and I decided to go down that path. I tried numerous iris designs and eyeball stances, and then eventually settled on the final design.

The design seems to be Swiss-influenced. It embodies minimalism and great use of colour. I connect with it as it makes something that is so simple and dull into a beautiful design.

The brush tool was used to draw over each line, bit by bit.
