      <description>The intention is to create a campaign that features our research and establishes CA as a thought leader. Audience is two-fold: The hyper informed individual (assessment directors, superintendents, etc.) who will read and then want to discuss the findings.  The second is the more open, general educator. These individuals (principals, teachers, other members of the public, etc) will want to know about the research findings and implications, but more often in sound bites. The main message is Growth is happening in Education, but not for everyone.</description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>We have four papers that will serve as the foundation for this campaign: </p><ul><li><p>The 2023 State of Student Learning report</p></li><li><p>The School Readiness research paper we published earlier this year</p></li><li><p>A longitudinal/cohort study on student growth to be published in early June</p></li><li><p>The 2024 State of Student Learning report</p></li></ul><p>These papers as a group tell a story about where students are academically and how they're growing. The number of students whose data are used in these studies is staggering: combined it will be well into the millions. </p><p><br></p><p>The rough outline of the data story is that academic recovery is happening for some students, but not all students. Further, those that started out doing well are outpacing (in terms of growth) those who started out doing less well. </p><p><br></p><p>There is a strong desire for us to tell a positive story overall, but we need to reflect the reality of the moment too. </p><p><br></p><p>-Kate Gasaway</p>]]></description>
