It means almost everything to Indigenous Australians ("many Indigenous Australians were killed in mass genocides and generations of children were stolen from their families. It's the date everything changed for the people who were on this land first and <a href="http://www.sbs.com.au/nitv/article/2017/01/18/10-things-you-should-know-about-january-26">in 1938</a> (Rota, Popsugar website)<br><br>3. Its easy to change the date and give First Australians the acknowledgement they deserve - WE CAN KEEP THE HOLIDAY, THE BBQ AND THE FUN.
