I think that student conferences is such a good way for students to be able to celebrate their accomplishments. I think that they will be more confident, and happy sharing what they've accomplished with their parents or guardians. Where as grading is sometimes can hurt a students confidence and make them feel like they aren't good enough.

I like the communication during student-led conferences. Students take accountability of their actions and work. More intrinsic motivation occurs since students take responsibility and share their work.

I think student conferences is a great way for students to be able to show their guardians their school work and be able to feel proud of it. With students leading the conversations, it helps them take ownership of what they do in the classroom like accomplishments and struggles. Grading with no student involvement does not help the students with material they may struggle with.
