Discussion question (s):
1. For Arthur, very directly as he's studying/working with sports (movement = health). He also wants to go into the sports clothing industry and make it more sustainable. As per psychology: moving is linked to improved mental health. You can also go outside to work out. Spending time in nature is good.

2. More plants in our diets is generally better for the environment. More variety is better for health as well. But it's not that easy as just going vegetarian as dairy is more harmful for the environment than e.g. poultry is. Plus avocados and almonds etc. Important to be kind to yourself though. Ergo: complex issue.

3. Air pollution kills. More trees and greenery is good for you. Flooding causes migration = health issues. Less cars etc (fossil fuel based transport). More public transport. More greenery inside the cities.

Members: Felicia, Ella, Arthur

Members Dasha, Irene and Sandra

Discussion question (s): 1

Our reflections:

1.
Irene- not much in IR in Italy, more about military. A shame, since IR is so connected to environment and health. Now many things have happened that made us see that this is all related to politics. You have to know how to build your policy around environment and health. In Italy it hasn't been prioritized.

Dasha's first course when doing her nutrition master was diet and sustainability

5. Climate change affects different groups differently, there is a lot of climate inequity. And also, the mitigation process has to be regulated to be fair. There seems to be unfair compensation going on. Minorities are most affected. Same patterns repeat themselves. High income countries decide the agenda. What we are not affected by is not prioritized.

Global trade- consumer behavior but also production. How can we raise global awareness? We are still a rather small community, us that are aware...

Here is what you do- Keep talking in zoom, just write down your reflections here in the structure presented on your group-card. In about 15 minutes Sandra will write to you on Zoom and ask you to come back and meet us in the big group in zoom!

Start with the question that interests you the most, it's alright if all groups end up discussing the same one. Have fun and be kind <3

How is human health effected by climate change? Give a specific example of how your health is dependent on the environment around you. How do you wish this to look in the future?

4. How is health effected by biodiversity loss? How do you think it will it be affected? What would you like to see in the future?

5. How is climate justice, and environmental justice if there is such a word, related to health?

6. Minorities are often suppressed also in these discussions, how does the health and environment/climate nexus look like from a minority perspective? Some more examples on this if it wasn't included before!

7. Is mitigation and compensation justified in relation to climate justice and health for all?
