The capital of this province is the municipality of Daet and has 11 other municipalities that complete the area. This place is made up of various mountains, hills, and rich land areas as well as being surrounded by bodies of water.

In this province, Bikolano dialect is mostly used, especially in more remote areas; however, it is also more common now to hear the Filipino or Tagalog language in most places.

Its land is also known for its rich content of various minerals like gold, iron, silver, and the like.

However, there are ways to identify these cases and provide these people with the proper nutrition that they may need to lessen the malnutrition cases in the area. In 2018, an organization called Welthungerhilfe developed an application called Child Growth Monitor to detect malnutrition in children using a smartphone. This can be implemented in the area and be connected to LGUs to detect the number of children with malnutrition and provide them the necessary interventions and nutrients that they need. The positive impact of using this application is that it can easily detect the cases of malnutrition and be able to provide an action in an instant. This can also lessen some complications brought about by malnutrition and hunger as it can be detected in an earlier stage. It is also much easier for these cases to be detected and monitored, especially in remote areas, as one tap can already scan and alert the authorities which can immediately be given an action to. However, the negative impact of this application is the possibility of the authorities being dependent on it to detect and monitor the cases causing them to minimize their effort in physically examining the malnutrition cases in the area. Additionally, the data gathered from it may not be exactly accurate, thus, physical examination with a physician is still necessary. This application can be of help to detect and monitor the malnutrition cases in the area but it does not serve as a resolution or intervention to control the cases.

Currently, there is a lot of emerging work from home jobs that do not require much work experience or requirements. An application that notifies the users when a new job is available can be used as their way to gather more job opportunities that are more appropriate for them. Some of the positive impacts of having this application and online job are its convenience, accessibility, and flexibility. The users can look for jobs and do their work with just a click and use of a device without needing to leave their homes. This gives them the chance to still manage their farming and crops if they have to and they do not need to leave behind their responsibilities at home and they can control their own time and look for as many jobs as they can take. However, the disadvantage of this online job searching and working is its need for internet connection and devices that may not be available for the target audience. They may also be in a place where connection is not as stable, hence, causing hindrance for their job opportunities. Furthermore, another negative impact of this application usage is that these users may depend on these online job opportunities and become idle when it comes to physical jobs, like farming or fishing. This may also not be as stable as expected due to the changes in society and the demands for it. Proper and moderate use of these applications must be implemented in order to manage their dependency and only serve as an additional source of income for them.

According to DILG (2006), the main cause of poverty in the area is said to be caused by the low employment opportunities which must be tackled as to this day, it is still experienced by these people. Increasing employment opportunities give families and individuals the chance to gain income and provide for their families the essentials they need. Although there are jobs offered in this province, it still receives low wages which causes a shortage of income. There is also a lack of microfinance to provide services and aid people with financial services that may help them. Moreover, as the province is an agricultural area, their main livelihood is farming as well as fishing which is not as stable and mostly seasonal only. Hence, an increase in employment and job opportunities can be of great benefit to them as it can lift and ease their situation. On the other hand, hunger, particularly malnutrition issues, is also prevalent in the area, especially in poor households (DOST, 2018). Malnutrition in the area is experienced by all ages, from infants to adults, which affects their development and growth. Micronutrient deficiencies, underweight, stunting, and wasting are some of the effects caused by malnutrition and hunger. This malnutrition also causes the decrease in productivity and economic potential. Based on these data, problems of malnutrition and low employment opportunities are interconnected and related to each other as one affects the other and vice versa. Addressing these issues can provide security for the people of Camarines Norte and aid them with their needs to help them become independent and have stability in their lives. This would not only help the individuals to progress in their lives but for the province as well to have greater development and advancement that can help their own people.
