Saint Cecily, patron saint of musicians and of Music, had a life, according to the writings that are preserved of the time, apparently little related to music. However, she is supposed to play some instrument, such as the lyre, the zither, or the harp, just as the ladies of Roman society did.

As every November 22, the musicians are celebrating on the occasion of the day of Saint Cecily, patron saint of all of them. In the coming days, a multitude of Musical Societies from the Valencian Community and from all over Spain will celebrate their concerts in honor of the beloved patron saint of musicians.
