This week in math workshop, we started our curriculum and started fractions. Our first day, we started learning about how to find equivalent fractions on a number line by multiplying them and dividing them. Our second day, we found equivalent fractions by using multiplication tables. We also watched a numberock math video online.

Last and some of this week, we explored our text books and we wrote it down on a scavenger hunt! I would like to do things like these more in not just social studies but in other subjects.

On Thurday we played land, air, sea and we have the jump forward when he said land jump back when the coach said sea and we had to jump when he said air.

This week Ms. Liz came to visit us to talk about bullying. We also made an art about us and about our hobbies.

In science, we learned about forces. we built egg racers with tissue boxes, skewers, cardboard circles, and hot glue. when we finished, we tested them and Dr. Strehlow said that we would alter the egg racers to make them faster and more safe. She also said that in the end of the unit, we would use real eggs then crash them.

We played poison rhythm in a big circle on a big screen and it was really fun because it sounded cool when we played it all together.

In writers workshop, we watched a video about A boy named Austin who lived in Idaho. He has to draw a butterfly. After messing up, he asks his friends for help and improves his drawings in a matter of six drafts. Then we filled out a form and discussed how Austin's butterfly connects to writers workshop.
