The article entitled ‘’Sustainability and Intergenerational Social Equity’’ by Stazyk et al. (2014)<del>, Moldovanova and Frederickson</del> focus on sustainability ‘s meaning and equity between current generation and future generations. Make sure you state the authors' main argument here. After that, the writers use example to indicate that sustainability has existed for 2.500 years <del>ago</del> but with a different concept with citizens of the Athanian city’s oath. Second the writers claim that sustainability is a form of equity. They say current generation <del>should</del> has important obligations to future generations about reaching current needs for provide balance between two generations. Following this, they address three pillars of sustainability which are environmental, economic<del>al</del> and social sustainability and the authors believe that people should take responsibility on these three pillars to intergenerational fairness (you need to briefly state what did they highlight). To exemplify, form of equity, economic, social sustainability and intergenerational fairness are all about authors’ references regarding the transition of generation (you need to briefly state what do the authors stress abıut these pillars of sustainability?). Writers compare the Athenian city-state to Greeks. Both of them value of their oath to left more (check language here) comfortable life to future generation. Moreover, they refer that environment which is most significant issue in sustainability because of the fact that the resources which have been given us to use cautiously must be protected. Such duty is the formula of the how we will sustain this world. As the authors refers that economic sustainability is <del>the</del> another aim of sustaining. Unless people are careful about their life, scarcities can be an extreme problem for them. It causes their social life (language hinders understanding) which is writers’ other point. Authors conclude that people must find a solution to interchange high level of standard life for the future generation.

Dear Tuana,

Thank you for the task.

In the article ‘ sustainability and Intergenerational Social Equity’ Stazyk et al. (2014) stress<del>es</del> the importance of generational responsibility towards sustaining valuable resources for future generations claiming that ‘without maintaining the supporting ecosystem today and into the future, the continued health and survival of humanity is questionable’ and that our view should be directed towards the three pillars of sustainability being the environmental, social and economic pressures .Also to reaffirm his point the authors demonstrate<del>s</del> that the idea of sustainability is not as new as it is viewed by giving an example of the oath taken by the Athenian society 2,500 years ago. Furthermore the authors raise<del>s</del> the point that not only it is something beneficial for current generation but it is also an obligation for the betterment and growth of future generations, but as stated by the authors giving the example of the theory “ the tragedy of the commons” explaining that while the population might be aware of the issue their natural reaction is to try and maximize their profit and short term goals and ignore the more logical long term goal of sustainability. To conclude the authors strongly suggest<del>s</del> that we seek to adopt and implement policies that support intergenerational fairness as a solution.

Dear Adelrahman,

Thank you for the task.
