I thought this was explained as she switched through people point of through. Everyone's idea of civilization/normal life was different depending on their personal experiences and the external settings around them. Like the flu’s influence on their setting, and people's personality. I think this song strongly connects to the theme of Station 11 because, the singer is viewing the world as a place of destruction, but she doesn't know how to fix it. So instead she tells everyone what the problem is and she will just watch and wait till someone else fixes it. Just like the theme, her viewing the world as destruction is semi-normal to her, as it's always been happening, and she will wait till someone sees it as she's seeing it to fix it.

I think this quote connects really well with the theme.
