This is through her thorough knowledge of the Eyeline theory ( using size, colour and shape to guide the viewers eyeline around the illustration) . She successfully directs the viewers eyes to the main part of her illustration through her use of colour. In this specific example. we are instantly directed to the character in the centre , the smoke and then the first panel which lays out the rest of the story .
