Dynamic Earth is about a process that is caused by the Earth's crust that creates cracks under the surface that's called tectonic plates. The plates are scattered in parts of the world and some of them are connected which creates earthquakes. Some of these earthquakes are common in Japan and California. They also create tsunamis which back in 2011, a tsunami swept into Japan and it was very massive that wiped out the while city of Tohoku. The tectonic plates also change the shape of the continents over millions or billions of years.
