         <description><![CDATA[<div>France's capital city with an average 271,120 Parisians per square mile (104,528 per square kilometer). It elected the first and only president of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Second_Republic">Second Republic</a>. The election was held on 10 December 1848 and led to the surprise victory of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleon_III_of_France">Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte</a> with 74% of the vote.</li><li>Jewish (1%)</li><li>The climate of Paris and the region of Île-de-France is temperate and influenced by the Atlantic Ocean: it is quite cold but not freezing in winter and pleasantly warm in summer. However, it has some continental characteristics too, so it can sometimes be very cold in winter and hot in summer.</li><li>The Alps. The Alps can be divided into two distinct areas. </li><li>The Pyrenees. Separating France from Spain, this mountain range creates an imposing and continuous barrier between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic across a distance of 430km. </li><li>The Jura.</li><li>The Vosges. </li><li>The Massif Central. </li><li>Corsica.</li><li>The Eiffel Tower is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France.
