African American Slaves being "exploited," and suffering continues.

3. The evil in the speech is how they "truly advocate socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor," which means the capitalist system is a system whereby the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, the rich can reinvest their capital whilst the poor have to continue to work and spend every penny they have on living costs.

- I chose this quote because it addresses the myth of America, that hard work and hard work alone will get you anywhere. It explains how that is simply a myth, and exposes the truth of white America, it was built on the backs of Slaves.

- One evil, Racism. I strongly believe that it is still present in this society. I know its still present because of the systems put into place to harm POC, the hate crimes and deaths that happen every day, the wealth gap and the relation of it to race, and so much more.

In this statement, King talks about how capitalism is built on the exploitation of people. To this day the quote still stands true. Many jobs are being outsourced to countries where the companies don't pay the workers livable wages. -Racism is one of Dr.King's evils. It is still present in our society. It shows up in police violence, parents not letting their children date certain races, discriminating someone based on their race through social media, and how people will treat certain people with different skin colors.

Social Justice has become more relevant in our society today than the military.

3. One of Dr. King's evils from the speech is racism. This evil is still present in our society through tragic events such as what happened to George Floyd and others, for their lives were taken away because of their race.

This quote stands out to me because I saw a similar quote from the movie Parasite. In the Parasite, the main character’s mother says that rich people (higher classes) are kind (humanity).

Still, racism is present in our society. For instance, last week, in the New York subway, an Asian hate crime occurred: one black man pushed a 40 years old Asian woman to the subway rail when the train was coming; due to that, the Asian woman was killed.

This quote stands out to me because it accurately represents America's society and economic system in today's terms. Capitalism is a very flawed concept within our country and MLK jr. hit the spot with this quote. 

3. Militarism is still present today at a massive scale. Our country's spending is immense within this department. Instead of diverting just a portion of the amount from the military spending to society's growth, we fall in debt by spending more than we have on our military.
