It explains how that is simply a myth, and exposes the truth of white America, it was built on the backs of Slaves.

- One evil, Racism. I strongly believe that it is still present in this society. I know its still present because of the systems put into place to harm POC, the hate crimes and deaths that happen every day, the wealth gap and the relation of it to race, and so much more.

Hannah Cofre

The fact is that capitalism was built on the exploitation and suffering of black slaves and continues to thrive on the exploitation of the poor, both black and white, both here and abroad.”

In this statement, King talks about how capitalism is built on the exploitation of people. To this day the quote still stands true. Many jobs are being outsourced to countries where the companies don't pay the workers livable wages. Their work conditions aren't the safest either because of the governments lack of laws for corporations.
