         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello Scholars!<br>In today's lesson, you will explore the different properties of materials used for clothing, such as texture, flexibility, and absorbency.&nbsp; Step 2 of this lesson will ask you to design your own hat.  You can see me in the photo below.  In this photo, I was on a field trip with other Aspire science teachers.  We were locating desert plants and animals near Palm Springs.  It was so hot!  The temperature outside that day was 107 degrees.  My face looks sad but my heart was happy that I had this nice hat to shade my face from the sun.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before you make a hat, you will need to test the materials you are going to use?&nbsp; You're on a desert island, after all.&nbsp; All you have to work with are these supplies left over from you lunch.
