After learning about module 1 I've came to the conclusion that finding something inspirational when working as a manager is important to succeed. Steve Jobs was is one of my top 5 CEO's to roam the earth because of his was to become widely known for producing a product everybody loves. This has helped me with work and school and has pushed me to strive for greatness and live with passion.
8 Not-So-Obvious Lessons from Apple's Steve Jobs
Here is a link to an article that I thought was very interesting and relates well to how to become a successful leader.

The image to the left is quite funny as it says "Thomas Edison cant wait to meet you.." towards Mr. Jobs which shows his significance and how much of an impact he was which again makes me strive to become such.

This other image is the four basic management functions talked about in module 1 which are planning, organizing, influencing, and controlling, these all play a huge factor when dealing with school, work, and even life for me.

Module 2 is about making managerial decisions, gender diversity, and the importance of effective communication when leading employees. I've learned to practice to effectively communicate while at work because I deal with co workers. I help people in need a try to effectively communicate the right way to deal with specific situations.

Soft is the New Hard as in Skills and Women Lead the Way
This aricle deals with Gender diversity and the different roles each gender suffers or succeeds from. This has given me the ability to never judge anyone by their gender and treat everyone equally, although the government may not feel the same.
The imagine on the left produces a scale of equality with the male and female gender and It has taught me to once again treat each other equally because were all human beings.
The other pic with all the different aged people in it represent a multi generational pattern which is important for teaching and learning from different generations and has played a key role with me learning within my job from my peers.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/wesgay/2017/10/20/multigeneration-workforce/#2062ca944bfd
This last article expresses why it is important to have this factor in the workplace, but in life too, after reading it I've learned the advantages and perks of the practice.

This is a great analysis for any company to do and specially we had to do it with In-n-Out (http://www.in-n-out.com/) burger company that is mainly located in the NE. I can use this diagram one day if the situations comes around to make an analysis of the company I work for or own. This module also taught me to learn to assign work to others, basic decisions making skills, and making sure to identity the problem before approaching it.

Learning to demonstrate recognition to increase performance is a big thing I've observed and practiced working. Managers and higher ups need to make it a priority to reward hard work or else there would be no other motivation besides pay of course. Another huge part in this chapter that is demonstrated in my life and at work is taking accountability when something is messed up or done right. There are elements to delivering proper delegation ranging from responsibility, authority, and accountability. I've learned to do the right thing even when nobody is watching and this module reinforced that. Zappos shoe company was talked about in the chapter readings and it speaks about delivering "WOW" and I believe in any organization/ company "WOW" needs to be delivered to its customers and employees.

Something I learned in this module that I never knew before was that there is such thing as in house recruiting and retained executive search meaning it finds the right qualified person to do the job. It does have its ups and downs and I personally only being 20, one day would like to participate in in house recruiting only because I would like to meet and find my own employees, if the time comes and its been to long I would resort to retained search as I've seen before in jobs I've worked in. https://www.thebalancecareers.com/employee-satisfaction-1918014

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/99DD523
This is the survey that was made in this module to see the satisfaction of employees. Questions range from are you satisfied with your pay, to do you enjoy you executives. There is much to be learned from it.Also, learning about the HR department and how they control and coordinate with all other departments was interesting and I feel this could help me one day.

This Module had it all being towards the end of the class we had a discussion based on Hewlett-Packard, this discussion taught me how to not practice becoming a "poor" leader in the working industry and gave us a prime example on how to be one. This has helped me and has shown me to communicate thoroughly towards my co-workers and even towards my parents and with school. "Hewlett-Packard CEO loses Job Because of Poor Leadership"
Another source that I read was How to be a Great manager that Employees Want to Work With which explains how emotional intelligence is a good trait to have when dealing with becoming a happy manager, I'm not a manager at my current job but I was at my previous and this has taught me now to change up my was as before I wasn't the smartest, of course I was younger.

In module 8, controlling performance and matching customer expectation both go hand and hand. At this current job I work at I work in a kitchen and have learned to produce quality food and serve it with a passion, I use to work in a call center collecting debt which was actually really fun and gave me a challenge to be nice even when I'm getting yelled at or hung up consistently all day. This module just reassured my previous ways that I was already practiced and showed me the right way to do things. Also, showing us a recall that happened with Toyota and seeing if they have the chance to bounce back considering all the publicity they received explained that really anything can happen in a company and you need to be prepared and take active measures to assure that if a matter arises like so, take the right steps to eliminate it. Toyota recalls 6.4 million vehicles worldwide over air bags, seat rails, steering or wipers
Toyota issues global recall of 6.5 million cars
