Usually before starting the app they will show you a bunch of allow and don't allow tabs stating if you allow the use of external apps or etc. It act as a form of agreement to share your information.  However they will share information about the app usage activity without asking for the user permission, these are data that can help improve company on their apps.

No matter how advanced the security of the game is or even if we dont grant it any permissions to our private infomation, there willl always be a backdoor in the code to access these things. Worst case scenario, the source code of the games get leaked from the company and anyone ca use this code to manipulate the game to their whims without people knowing.
