This first resource will take families to a website to help in finding treatment, resources, and other people in the community. This website can be helpful from birth through adulthood. Families will also find testimony's from other families which can help decide what might be right for you. Parents Education Network can seem broad but once you click on certain topics it can help direct you on where to receive that help.

This second website shows a list of the laws put into place to help children with disabilities. Once clicking on a law it will redirect you to a page with the law written clearly and of its entirety. There are also state resources available on this page. When advocating for children with disabilities there are laws that are not always followed and when caring for these children it is important that these laws are carried out for the wellness of the child.

This resource talks about what kind of education might be best for children with cerebral palsy. A traditional learning environment might not be best because that does not allow for a teacher to work one on one with the student all day. However, a school that provides customized learning programs and has teachers that can work side by side with the student all day may be a much better fit.

The PEAL center is an organization that helps families learn ways to support their child with special needs. More importantly this organization focuses on what their child needs to become contributing members of society. Life will not always be black and white but these resources can help your child to learn their full potential and how life continues after school.
