The war proxy/surrogate was like the US and Soviet Union coming and helping with the fight. Though on different sides, they both had the same general idea of coming in and helping/ letting vietnam use their weapon and resources. Surrogate was also apart, for when the US and the Soviet Union come to help on half of the pasted/people who can't represent.
