INFLUENCE #1 Rüfüs Du Sol

Sydney, Australia based, Rüfüs Du Sol makes music of the likes of indie electronic dance-pop. RUFUS has influenced me because of their ability to create the euphoric feeling that comes with listening to their music giving for an unforgettable listen. The way they mix and master their tracks is truly delicate and you can clearly hear the effort put into each track. RUFUS creates memories through music and that is something I absolutely envy and want to create myself for others. Their use of tangy and spiralling synths creates that experience that I believe only RUFUS can produce.

Influence #3 The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones influenced me because they paved the way for the exploding rock and roll music scene. They influenced me by showing me a genre I previously had no interest in and it opened the pathway for me to play with older music and adapt it to my own electronic music. Every song they produced was an absolute masterpiece on a mastering level and to do it at an age where such a task was all analog just reinforces that. I aim to create music that is mixed and mastered as well as them

Charlotte is a Belgium born DJ that produces music of the likes of Techno, acid and anything in-between. Charlotte has influenced me majorly as her music played a huge part in introducing me into the techno and hard techno scene and influenced me to start DJ'ing and producing my own music. Her use of hard rumble baselines and entrancing acid mid's create an atmosphere like no other. I aim to make music like Charlotte does in a way that will entrance people to get onto the dance floor and have a boogie

Brodinski influenced Charlotte De Witte early in her career and pointed her towards creating high quality electro and electro house music - much to the similarity of Brodinski. However, Charlotte has since branched out and discovered all genres between techno and trance. Brodinski similarly began creating music in 2012 - working on his electro and electro house music, however he broadened his horizons in 2015 when he released his debut album "Brava" which brought techno and rappers together - showing a side to the musical world no one understood yet. Charlotte has adopted this attitude with her approach to discovering techno and "underground".

Radiohead were the innovative band that incorporated electronics into their rock music and revolutionised the industry. Radiohead notably ventured into the indie electronic scene and were innovators in it. Being such innovators in the industry lead to many people following their paths such as Rufus Du Sol, incorporating the glassy textures and tangy synths. Radiohead's explorative use of electronics in indie provided a good example for what Rufus Du Sol was looking to follow, and it also allowed them to push the boundaries of their own music.

INFLUENCE #3.2 Muddy Waters

Muddy Waters was a blues music born in 1913 and died in 1983. He was best known for his electric blues post WW2. Muddy Waters clearly influenced the Rolling Stones through his innovative approach to blues. His incorporation of passionate singing, dramatic shouts, swoops and falsetto moans were clearly a driving influence for the stones and they incorporated that style into almost every song. The Rolling Stones actually adopted the name of their band from Muddy Waters song "Rollin' Stone", as well as naming one of their records "a pilgrimage to chess" - Waters Band.
