In modern technology nowadays, gadget such as smartphone, laptop and ipad is very common at every person in their daily life especially for teenagers and students. Mostly, teenagers and student used it for playing games. Most of the students in University Malaysia Pahang(UMP) also love to play computer game. The reason that UMP student play computer games too much because computer game are very fun and computer game aim focus on to relieve stress. But they do not know, many bad effect of playing computer game in their life such as in term of health, society and study.

First and foremast, playing computer game may have bad effects on some student’s health such as obesity, video induced seizures and postural, nerve compression and carpal tunnel syndrome. Students will get obesity when their may spend less time in other activities such as sports. Besides that, when the students lack of exercise, they will get sick on their neck, wrist and stairs. They also will get serious back pain when they do not do some exercises. It can be say like that because when someone playing computer games, they will focus to their games until they forgot to do anything. Because of that, it will effect on their eye when they stay in front of computer too long without rest, our eyes may cause blindness.

Other than that, the second effect of playing computer games is social problems. Example of the effect are, they will be shy and introvert. People who are playing too much computer game, they will less interact with the real world. Social problem are a very real part of gamming addiction. They spend so much time playing that their personal relationship get neglected and sometimes disappear altogether. The lack of social interaction that result from obsessive gamming can have long term social consequences. They will lose communication skills and student won’t develop effective social skills, which will hinder his ability to develop and maintain healthy relationship in college and beyond.

Next, the other effect of playing computer game is they will get problem with education. Student who was playing too much games hard to manage their time to study. For example, if the student always playing computer game every time or everywhere, their brain will stuck to get the answer. They spend to much time playing game and does not do their homework. Because of that, they will get fail in every subject because does not study and fill their time with playing computer game.

Then, the other effect of playing computer game is they will be a passive student. Student who was playing too much game will be a passive person because their life is only for games. For example, student who was active and like play computer game is the most problem because they are not active in sport, curriculum or another else. There are many type of game such as Clash of Clan, Need For Speed, Counter Strike, FIFA or PES. The student will spend their time only with computer game and does not like to join some outdoor activities like football or another else. The cause is, the student will get problem in their curriculum mark if they are not active in sport or club.

In conclusion, there are many effect of playing to much computer game to the UMP student. The family should avoid their children from playing too much games and the student should know how to manage their time for playing computer game and study.
