On Chapter 8; Body image page 237 this made me more appauld and confused so I think it was the best information, "Feeling physically appealing is important to everyone. But, in a late-twentieth-century study, Harter found that, beginning in elementary school, girls in particular get increasingly distressed by how they look. One reason for this difference comes as no surprise - the intense cultural pressure for females to be thin."

I quoted it. I agree that girls at a young age get ashamed of their bodies, which is so cruel, they would like to get thinner at a young age, but when they get older, they want to get thicker. In this generation, as females, we don't even know what we want to look like because everyone is judgmental and it's hard to fit in with expectations, so we stress. I think we should change that habit and love that we are healthy. That's why building a healthy lifestyle is important. Surround yourself with positive ppl.

Chapter 9: Social Development on Page 272 A piece of information that got me interested is that teenage peer groups are classified by progressives into two types: cliques, which are close groups consisting of 6–8 friends, and gatherings, which are bigger sets of friends with a larger group. Cliques arise in primary school, whereas crowds become more common in high school. I was in a group of 6 and it didn't work in middle school. There was always separate talking and backbiting, and I had just moved away from them, but when I went to high school and made friends, which we are in college, we learned how to make our friend group. We have 7 of us, and it's such a nice development. We have been with each other for 5 years and never had an argument. If we did, we would solve it, always be positive with each other, and help each other out. That's a growth development for me and social.

My highest score was for conventional occupational interest, and enterprising was also important. I think art was my favorite. I would love to design different types of things, like art, and build things in the house. But one of my lowest points was investigating, which I would love to mind my business and not do. I noticed I was in between for social. I am a really social person, so I would take that.

My results were a lot; I didn't expect that either. I think I do lots of things, like I mentioned that I love doing math and being social. I love outdoor sports. One thing that you guys might want to know is that I love to try new things out! I noticed in both quizzes I took that it brought up being social, just like in quiz 10, it talked about being social and what and how the students struggle with being social. For example, in quiz chapter 10 on question 11, it mentioned, "When first-semester college students get their final grades at the end of the semester, they may experience a(n) which the answer will be decline: self-esteem. This connects to see if your social or self-esteem.

I would like to be a teacher in this career I am taking, I had dreamed about becoming a teacher since I was in elementary teaching kids at the age of 18 is fun, and I could practice and see how to become a teacher. Become a teacher is hard and needs ownership and responsibility.

Teaching is a fulfilling profession that enables instructors to tailor their teaching approach to the individual learning experiences of their pupils. Teachers communicate with children's parents and educational administrators, acting as community centers for problem-solving. They may also express their creativity by constructing classes and instructional materials for their children, helping them to experiment with new ways for teaching. Teachers get payed at least 40,000 + per year.

Question #6 Emerging Adulthood

Emerging adulthood is a life stage I want to speak about. When I think about it, I think about marriage or my future. Im like I'm getting old. I have to think about me getting married and how my future will be. Will it be good? Then I look to the other side. Seeing my mom grow so quickly makes me feel happy and sad. You see, when we were younger, we all said I wish I was older to do stuff we wanted, but relativism hit us because we didn't know paying taxes and other things would be so hard, so we say I wish I was younger. Adulthood will always be a stage we should be ready for.

The two items I found most intriguing were concerning pregnancy. Smoking, consuming alcohol, and taking illicit substances can all endanger a pregnancy. Obstacles to the health of mother. I was interested in this is because I had an aunt who was affected by smoking the baby had died and it damaged her mental health. I was trying to figure out how do you fix problems like that; I had read about this topic in chapter 2 section 2.5 on page 49.

The other would be about giving birth, everyone that I know that has a baby says giving birth is scary and is painful which scares me. I learned there is stages in giving birth which are three stages. The most interesting stage I heard about is stage 2 which is the placenta. It's where the baby is delivered.

Things I liked about this course were that I enjoyed learning about human body development, the differences between men and women, and how they are similar. Also, how organized the quizzes are and how much extra credit you give, of course! One thing I would change is having the textbook not be online. I don't focus that much, but if it's a handprint, I would! But other than that, you did a great job teaching PSY-152. I had lots of friends offering you, so I took your class!
