         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Surf therapy originated in the late 1990s when former professional surfer Israel Paskowitz and his wife Danielle noticed the calming, joyful effect the ocean had on their autistic son, Isaiah. </p></li><li><p>They founded Surfers Healing, the first surf camp tailored to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). </p></li><li><p>Since then, the model has expanded globally, promoting therapeutic surfing through nonprofits and programs like the International Surf Therapy Organization (ISTO) and Waves of Impact.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
