         <description><![CDATA[<div>Encourage students to use their first language for brainstorming and/or draft work.<br>Encourage students to play story generators and vocabulary activities to support your English as Second Language Learners. <br>When possible use pictures to help students learn the words/text. <br>Practice speaking and listening with your English as a Second Language learners to teach E.S.L. students how to be active listeners. <br>When possible put a label on with both English ad their native language. <br>Highlight key words or key passages. <br>Photograph native language items and translate the items on the photograph into English.</div>]]></description>
