I'm from Cali, Valle del Cauca and I live in Bosques del Limonar neighborhood. The place where I live is a residential complex called Guasimos; the apartment has 3 rooms, two bathrooms, one kitchen and one dining room, this place is surrounded by beautiful parks, there are some trees around the apartment. One of the most beautiful things about living in Guasimos is waking up by listening to the birds, I have been living with two roommates for almost 3 years and thank God we have great convivence; Juan is a geologist, and the other roomie is Gustavo, an art teacher.

My daily routine starts at 6:00 o'clock and the first thing I do when I wake up is to drink a glass of water, then I take a shower, get dressed and make breakfast around 7: oo o'clock, after that I go to work usually by bike, but recently I take public transportation. Luchs is between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. I finish my job around 6:00 or 7:00 o'clock, after work, I go home to make dinner and prepare the meals for the next day, after that; I do homework from the university usually until 1:00am finally I go to bed at 1:05 and that’s my routine from Monday to Friday. Most of the weekends I do the laundry, go to the marketplace and grocery store, organize the house, and read material from the university, sometimes I use the app Duolingo to practice English, and visit my family usually for special occasions.

Behind La Ermita, there is one of the most popular places to party this place is La Pergola. It is one of the best cocktail bars and restaurants not only in Cali but also in Colombia, it is located at the center of the city with incredible views of Cali river, the Cerro de las Tres Cruces, La Ermita, and the Boulevard del rio. At this place, there are three outdoor terraces perfect for meeting friends, enjoying the music, the wind, and the stars of the city. We have many typical dishes in Cali. Like empanadas, this recipe is prepared with potatoes, onions, and garlic, also we have Champú, a very popular fermented beverage made by a mix of tropical fruits such as lulo, pineapple, cinnamon, corn, and orange leaves. The main celebration in Cali is La Feria de Cali. This is the biggest event in our city and the most precious symbol of our cultural identity, every year, between December 25 and 30, Cali reaffirms its passion for life, salsa, and joy. During this fair people usually get together to enjoy our gastronomy, go to concerts, and have fun with others in the streets.  

Finally In Cali, visitors can make different types of cultural activities. There are several museums that can be visited, such as the Calima Gold Museum, the Merced Museum and La Tertulia Museum, if you are looking for outdoor activities , you can have bird watching at Pance river and if you are intested to go hiking you can visit  Farallones de Cali national natural park. But if you are looking for food, then San Antonio Hill is the place you should visit, in this place there are many restaurants with a variety of gastronomy. There are also places to celebrate outdoors, such as Calle del Pecado a place to dance on the street, and Boulevard del rio, among others.
