1.      You should not use hyphens in place of bullets. Always try to use a circular bullet or get creative, switch it up, and use a square or maybe a triangle. Also go into baseline shift and adjust as necessary to lift them off the baseline making  your layout look more sophisticated. 
2.      Straight quotes. I never gave much thought to the quote marks I have been using and have probably interchange the two on multiple occasions.

I thought it was a classic type face that was usable for many different genres and platforms while keeping the mood neutral. The only thing I learned is that she said Helvetica is outdated. That is why we were taught to underline titles of books. So never use the underline feature.
