For example, the "traffic light method," where they have to write something they learned on green, something they're still thinking about on yellow, and something they're still trying to understand on red. I also really liked "making the classroom a beach," where they bounce a beach ball around and ask questions like "what did you learn in today's lesson" or "what was the most challenging part!" In today's education, not all children are able to sit for a long period of time while learning. Even if they are able to sit for that period of time, they may not be able to focus, wondering when they'll be able to get up. This is a great way to open up dialogue on how the student can feel better if they are feeling angry or sad. Just like how sometimes, they need to be moving around to learn, sometimes they need to be able to discuss other topics that are relatable to them.
