However, this month we paused to remember how lucky we are as a school. 

We are a diverse community that represents countries from all around the world. We speak different languages and celebrate different traditions. This gives us the opportunity to learn from one another each and every day. We are so grateful to our families for sharing their cultures with us.

Our entire staff is dedicated to providing a first rate education to our students and we work hard together to make PS 197 an exciting place to learn. We are thankful to have such talented professionals working here.

Through grants from Assemblyman Deutsch and Borough President Adams we have been able to enrich our curriculum by building a STEAM Lab and Hydroponics Lab. We are finally seeing the "fruits of our labor" since the Hydro Lab is in full bloom. We are grateful for the support from our local politicians who truly believe in investing in our children.
