La La Land is written and directed by Damien Chazelle who also directed one of my other favorite films Whiplash. Having been fond of musicals during his time as a drummer, Chazelle first conceptualized the film alongside Justin Hurwitz. After moving to Los Angeles in 2010, Chazelle penned the script but did not find a studio willing to finance the production without changes to his design. After the success of his film Whiplash, the project was picked up.

La La Land is a 2016 American musical romance film. It stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone as a struggling jazz pianist and an aspiring actress, respectively, who meet and fall in love while pursuing their dreams in Los Angeles.

My thought about the film.

At first I thought the film was a basic romance musical but after it poping up all over the internet I finally decited to watch it. I was amazed by the good sound tracks and after watching the movie I went through all the songs. But the ending of the film was trully heartbreaking for me and after watching the film I cried. I tottaly recomend watching La La land even if romance films or musicals arent your thing. And I can say the this film will always be in my heart.
