This begins to break down the apple by dividing it into bite sized pieces. Then the teeth and jaws chew the apple to break the bite sized pieces into smaller pieces. This is to make the apple pieces small enough to fit through the oesophagus and to make less work for the stomach. While the apple is still in the mouth, the saliva contains an enzyme which starts it off by making the food softer, thinner and smaller by slowly eating away at it.

The main parts are:
- Mouth, teeth, tongue and salivary glands.
 The first step is chewing, when the food is cut with the teeth in the mouth. Also, the glands produce liquid under the tongue that chemically process the food.
- Pharynx is a door opening for food to continue in oesophagus for the next stage.
- The oesophagus  is a tube that travels the food from the mouth to the stomach.
- Stomach further process the food chemically with enzyme and acids from the liver and pancreas. When the food is ready, it continues in the small intestine.
- The small intestine is a thin long tube below the stomach and further process the food and liver and pancreas support to further process the food .Nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, lipids vitamins and minerals. 
- The next is the large intestine, where  moisture is taken and left is the waste.
- The rectum is the last part of the digestive system that throw away the waste, which is not needed for the body.

-MOUTH: We use our mouth to make the food smaller and easier to digest or swallow, we also need saliva to mix our food so we can have clean food in our body. Saliva makes the food slippery and easier to swallow.
-ESOPHAGUS: It is basicly what delivers the food to our stomach.
-STOMACH: The Stomach is an emty organ that keeps our food while it's being mixed with enzymes.
-SMALL INTESTINE: It is a long , thin tube and it's job is to digest and to absorbe nutrients and to make a semi-solid form
-PANCREAS: It makes insulin, secreting it directly into the bloodstream. 
-LIVER: It is the bigest washing-organ. The Liver makes Bile, this helps make fat very, very tiny. The liver detoxifies drugs.
-GALLABLADDER: Its the organ that keeps the Bile.
-COLON: It is the organ that get's rid of the bad stuff and pushes the stool. it is aproximatly 1,5 meters.
-RECTUM: It is the last part of the digestive tube in the colon.
-ANUS: It is a small musel that opens and closes depending if we have stool or not.

LARGE INTESTINE:This is the last sage of digestion.The remaining food that the body dose not need  will pass through the large intestine and out of the body as wast.
