I'm Kristy Stuber and this is my 36th year of being a teacher and consultant. After college, I moved from London, KY, to San Francisco, California for 18 years. I have taught grades Pre K-5th grade. I have one daughter and two granddaughters (Reese & Rose). I enjoy going to the movies, swimming, playing with my german shepherd Lola, and traveling with my husband.

My favorite author is Danielle Steele! I have read all of her books two and three times. Just easy reading that I don't have to think about.

My favorite book series for reading in my former classrooms is Sarah Plain and Tall.

My name is Richard Sester. This is my 24th year in education. I have been the art teacher at Clay County Middle School for the last 20 years. Before that, I was an adult education instructor helping students obtain their GED. I have been married to my wife, Elisha, for 25 years. We have two daughters that live in Louisville. One is halfway through medical school, and one will graduate this spring with her masters degree in counseling. I am also a visual artist and musician.

I'm Betsy Duell and this is my 23rd year teaching, all of those years have been at Hopkins Elementary in Somerset, which is also the elementary school I attended as a child. I taught 17 years of 2nd grade and then was moved to 3rd grade and have been there for almost 6 years. I started teaching math in 3rd but have been teaching science and social studies the past two years. I have one son, Eli, who is 14 and in the 8th grade. We have a Weimaraner, Archie, who loves to act crazy while I'm busy or in zoom classes! I enjoy watching sports, being outside, hanging with my family and friends, and traveling to the beach!

The district is like a roller coaster with supporting music. Sometimes we have music teachers in place; other times, at the elementary level, they think they can skip music for a year. My band program and our choir program are behind because of this, but we try to keep teaching and get them caught up.

My name is Amber Sizemore. My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 13 years. We have two boys, Samuel (age 11) and Isaiah (age 9). Jeff also has two girls from a previous marriage. They are married and have kids so we also have 6 grandkids! I am a Sunday School teacher, piano player and song leader at our church. I am a preschool teacher at Keavy Elementary in Laurel County. I previously taught preschool in Knox County, and I also taught Early Head Start with KCEOC, giving me a total of 20 years teaching Early Childhood education.

I think I could eat a (good) hamburger (not fast food) for the rest of my life. I'm sure I would get tired of it, but a good, juicy, real-meat burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard and pickles I would be getting more than one food group. Plus, they are just really good.

I don't really read a lot. I have read books but not really for entertainment. I have read biographies of some celebrities and things like the Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey which I found helpful. But overall I gotta go with the Bible, even though I slack on reading it as much as I should. His Word is alive and gives me hope and peace, tells me the way to salvation. So of course it is the best!

I hate anything that has to do with laundry - folding it, putting it away,etc. But especially if it hasn't been folded yet - trying to find a complete outfit for my boys by digging through a pile - I need 2 matching socks, a shirt, pants, so aggravating.

I am a preschool teacher and this year they have really emphasized teaching social-emotional skills with little time for teaching anything academic, but yet they want the kids to be kindergarten ready, which means knowing letters, numbers, counting, writing name, cutting with scissors, etc. They give us so many requirements for different programs and then expect us to cover everything, but give us little to no money for materials. It is a struggle because its hard to know what exactly we are supposed to really be teaching and how to go about it. It just doesn't seem to be very organized. We have a hard job and it seems like a lot of pressure.

Hi everyone! I'm Zoe Cross, and this is my 4th year as a teacher. I have taught 3rd-grade ELA the whole time, and I get to do it in the classroom next door to the classroom I attended 3rd grade in! When I'm not at school, I love to be doing anything outdoors or crafty. My husband and I love to travel, camp, kayak, and hike. We are welcoming our first baby boy sometime in the next month, so that will be our newest adventure!

Umbrella Academy

I'm trying to read more, but I struggle to find the time; however, my favorite book is a graphic novel named The Umbrella Academy. This book was created by my favorite singer, Gerard Way, and I just think the artwork and creativity are incredible.

A Photographic Memory

People Talking Over Me

Nothing frustrates me more than people talking over me. In my classroom, my number one rule is do not talk over me. It's just complete disrespect.

Being In Control

I struggle with being in control. I think what bothers me is not distinguishing how I want my day to go, and in some cases, my classroom/year to go. Maybe I just need to be the boss lol. I can't stand useless P.D.s where I learn information that I will never use ever again. Being forced to do things that don't benefit my job or my life is the struggle.

I love to read and typically reach for histroical fiction, biography/memoir, or mystery. My most recent favorite is The Secret Book of Flora Lea. Set during World War 2 and all about the long-term connection between two sisters. 12/10 review!

I tend to start the year very well organized but throughout the year things seem to fall apart in the cabinet areas of my classroom. I know where everything is, but if someone else has to find something...they may or may not be able to decipher my secret Type B code!

Hey, I am Kendra Cook and I am in my 17th year of teaching. I have taught 16 of those years third grade at Keavy Elementary in Laurel County. I have been self-contained so I have got to teach it all. I have four kiddos at all ages, from college to preschool. Of course, the college girlie is missing from the above photo. We also have a Maine Coon Cat who thinks he is a human and one of the kids. We love camping! We spend most of our summer at a campground and the lake.
