I have checked a few resources and one said it was on the ancestral homeland of the Nongatl peoples but another said Tongva, Tataviam, Serrano, Kizh, and Chumash Peoples. So honestly I'm not 100% sure and I don't know what's a reliable source to get this information from. Would appreciate input, thanks in advance!

So grateful to have been connected to this course through the Lisjan Nation Curriculum Connection with Sogorea Te Land Trust.

My name is andrea, I'm currently a 5th grade instructor, virtually with Pacific Coast Academy in San Diego County, currently occupying unceded Ohlone lands in the east bay/emeryville area. My focus is on outdoor science education integrating core subjects (math/languages) in each lesson. I have previously worked as a garden instructor for Emeryville unified, teaching TK-12 lessons, and currently support the families from eusd with a community organization, East Bay Children & nature, to facilitate pop-up learning experiences for families on weekends.

I am so excited to learn together in this incredible space, where we have a chance to hone skills and are gifted a curriculum backbone for lessons with many different learning styles included.
