Did you enjoy your first interaction with this book?

Yes, I enjoyed interacting with this book for the first time. I was really excited about reading it beforehand.

2. What did you learn about the story?

I was introduced to one of the main characters, Nick Carroway. The book began on Nick sharing a lesson/advice his father had taught him which is not to judge others, as most haven’t had the privileges and opportunities he’s had. We also begin to learn more about Nick’s life, where he lives, what he does for a living, etc.

3.What are you wondering about the story?

I’m wondering about what lessons this book could teach me and I would like to get to learn more about one of the characters, Daisy Buchanan.

4. How many pages did you read? What is your daily reading goal on days when you have 10 minutes to read?

I read one chapter which was about 12 pages. My daily reading goal is about 15-20 minutes.

What has been happening in your book since your last post?

I’ve been introduced to many new characters. Nick Carraway is from the Midwest looking for work in the East. Nick gets invited to a party to where he meets Mr. Gastby. begins to learn about Mr. Gatsby and the lavish and luxurious world he lives in.

2. Has your experience with this book gotten better or worse since your last post? Why?

My experience with the book has gotten worse only because something exciting hasn’t occurred in the book yet. Though i do like the characters and the setting/era it takes place in, I’m hoping to encounter more of an exciting and intense point in my book.

 3. What have you noticed about yourself as a reader? Name 2 qualities or patterns that you have noticed about yourself while reading.

In some points when I’m reading I get really sucked into the story due to how carefully reading and I can imagine I’m in the book. Other times I get distracted and I just read the words without thinking much which makes me have a hard time understanding what’s going on.

 4. Set a goal for when you would like to finish this book.

I’d like to finish it by the end of October.
