  • Analyze dance composition and explore choreographic choices available on a virtual platform.
  • Utilize the three stages of production (planning, recording, and editing) to further enhance the development of choreographic intention.

This course covers the techniques for making, and the pedagogy behind successfully creating and using a virtual performance in instruction. Advanced audio and video editing with industry-standard applications will be covered, as well as practical ways to include the process in instruction.
The techniques explored in this course require familiarity with both an audio editor or Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) (e.g. Audacity, Logic Pro, Garage Band, Pro Tools, Mixcraft) AND a video editor (e.g. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, HitFilm Express/Pro).
