I started mark making like the original piece and started the flow going. I wanted to make this piece a little different from the original, I started to build Starry night from wire. After I finished constructing my piece, and painted it, I really couldn't see this piece being any different than what it is now. It was just wires stapled down on a wooden board. It was not an easy thing to construct at first because the original piece is detailed with its marks. I was brainstorming the whole first day. Once I got my idea, I then had to figure out how I was going to construct and build it. I also didn't know what colors I was going to use or how I was going to make it 3-D.
