         <description><![CDATA[<div>Confucius was all about anyone being able to teach if they were going to work hard. “Confucius admitted his students not on the basic of their social status or wealth but rather on their aptitude for serious academic study and their willingness to apply themselves to their work (Gutek, p.20, 2011). That is how we select teachers today by allowing them to teach if they have the proper education prior. Teachers dedication can be seen by how they did in school, and asking their references. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Teachers today do not get into education for the money, being teachers are not paid a lot. Educators teach because they want to pass on their knowledge to other individuals. Confucius whole message was to pass on his cultural to the next so it was never forgotten (Gutek, 2011). According to G 2011, he wanted to put people on a path to by doing the right things in life (Gutek, p.14, 2011).<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Plato liked for the students to think about the answer rather than telling them himself. He believed in researching information to make sure it was correct. Plato disagreed with the Sophists because they used their platform to change people views and beliefs. They would continuously acknowledge how they were smart to get people to change their perspectives and beliefs. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Plato pt 2</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Plato believed that they were trying to depict an image by wearing a mask.  “For him, an image was a mask, a false face, that had to be penetrated to reach the underlying reality” (Gutek, p.39, 2011). He liked to analyze people to see if they were truly a good person or was it just an act that they were portraying. I think of Plato’s techniques/styles as a college professor, or advance courses in grade school. This is the best style teacher to me because he made his student think for an answer.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Socrates </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Socrates was Plato’s mentor so a lot of Plato’s styles are generated from Socrates. These two had the first mentor-student relationship (Gutek, p.35,2011). They showed us how a teacher can so influential in a student’s life. Socrates is the seasoned educators that help the newer teachers. They have so much wisdom to pass down, a new teacher just should be willing to learn. That is how I learn a few tricks my first year, I was willing to listen, I was not too good for information.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Aristotle</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Aristotle was all about students making a reasonable decision.  School was to help you reason. “For him, schools were to (1) develop and exercise students’ potential for reasoning, (2) form ethical character, and (3) provide a skill and knowledge base (Gutek, p.62, 2011). Aristotle is one of the reason we divide our schooling today.  To him there were stages to learning, newborn to five, middle school, high school/advanced learners (Gutek, p.63, 2011).  In our time, we have just separated high school and advanced learning and extended Aristotle’s primary schooling. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In all, we take from every previous philosopher in some way. Who is to say that one did it better than the other? Each teacher had their own way of attacking education, and we have benefited from each one of them. Being it Confucius not judging any student as long as they are willing to learn, or Plato and Socrates expanding students minds making them think. Aristotle helping students find reason and dividing schooling, as the stages we use today. <br><br><br>Gutek, G. L.
